Getting here by car

We are just over 10 minutes drive from M1 Junction 21 (traffic permitting); take the A563 south ring road. If you are coming from the north on the A46/A607 you can take the ring road to the east of the city.

If heading anti-clockwise on the A563 ring road, turn left into Aberdale Road at the traffic lights on the Asquith Way part of the south ring road (after the "Pork Pie" roundabout and the Windley Road roundabout). If heading clockwise this will be a right turn at the traffic lights after crossing Welford Road. At the junction there are a Co-operative Food and a Tesco Express on opposite sides of Aberdale Road.

Towards the far end of Aberdale Road, turn left into Cairnsford Road. At the end go straight across to Woodcroft Avenue. At the end of Woodcroft Avenue turn right, and Chadderton Close is the first road on the right. Turn right at the T-junction within Chadderton Close, and the temple is the last house on the right.

There is quite a bit of off-road parking at the temple. There is not much on-road parking in Chadderton Close, but plenty on Pendlebury Drive, opposite the entrance to Chadderton Close. Please be considerate of our neighbours when parking, particularly avoiding the turning areas at the end of the close.

Getting here by bus

The temple is on the No. 44a bus route.

The nearest bus stops are in Lamborne Road (for travel towards the city centre), and Cairnsford Road (for travel away form the city centre). You can catch the 44a at the Haymarket Bus Station or in front of the Railway Station on London Road (stand EE), and it travels via Queens Road in Clarendon Park. Alternatively you can catch a 44 which stops in Aberdale Road soon after crossing the Welford Road.

See route 44/44a information on the Arriva website

Travelling by train

There are good train connections to Leicester from around the country, and you can catch the No. 44 bus from directly outside the station on London Road (stand EE). The bus takes about 20 minutes to get to Cairnsford Road, and it is about five minutes walk from there to the temple.
